Doctor Who: The Invasion

This story is eight parts (!), but two are missing. Luckily, the BBC had those episodes animated, with the original audio. As I've mentioned before, I wish they would do that for all the missing episodes...

Jamie, Zoe, and the Doctor
The Doctor and Jamie go to check out the fishy International Electromatics. When they're leaving, they're picked up by some mysterious men. Of course, I recognized one as Sergeant Benton, so we know what that means...

the Brigadier, Jamie, and the Doctor

UNIT! They're investigating International Electromatics, too. I swear I got giddy when the Brigadier showed up and they were all so happy to see each other. I just love the Brigadier. Also, I probably should've mentioned that at the beginning of this story, a missile was fired at the TARDIS from the dark side of the Moon. Anyway, the Brigadier mentions that he met them four years ago now, but Jamie says it was only a couple of weeks.

Hijinks ensue, yes, that company is evil, and at the very end of the fourth episode, the Cybermen appear. Finally. Here comes the invasion!

Good thing the Doctor and UNIT are there to stop them. Huzzah!

THE RUNDOWN

Classic Lines: the Brigadier: "You still making a nonsense of it, Doctor, in your...what was it called...TARDIS?"
Tuck This Away to Impress Your Friends: The Brigadier is promoted to...Brigadier. This is the first episode in which Alistair Lethbridge-Stewart is officially "the Brigadier" and the first episode featuring UNIT.
